Welcome to Active Achiever’s Employee Volunteer Program!We appreciate your interest in contributing to our mission of empowering and supporting youth. This manual will guide you through your role and responsibilities as an employee volunteer.
Active Achievers has been operating since 2013. It initially served children and youth up to age 15 but recognized the need to establish programming for older youth. In recent years, it has expanded its offerings, partnered with more high schools, and received grants to enhance its programs.

Program Components

Active Achievers offers various components, including mentorship, direct career exposure to the childcare industry, entrepreneurship training, leadership development, and professional childcare training.

Success Measurement

The program measures success through ongoing observations, leadership assessments, data collection, training completion, participation in mentorship events, and quarterly reflections.

Facilities

Our activities primarily occur at Inheritance Academy, a 15,000 sq. ft. facility with a dedicated 1,100 sq. ft. Youth Safe Space. It’s well-maintained, well-lit, and fully equipped with internet, computers, and more. Activities also happen at partner locations like local child care centers, schools, youth organizations, and businesses.

Program Overview

The program envisions empowering youth to dream, create, achieve, and continue their education. It aims to provide resources, direct instruction, mentorship, and opportunities for hands-on experiences. Opportunity Youth (ages 16-24) and Young Parents (under 24 years old).

Active Achievers is a nonprofit youth-serving organization that collaborates closely with a high-quality childcare center and nonpublic nursery school. Active Achievers is a beacon of quality mentoring, childcare, employment opportunities, future-forward opportunities, and homelessness prevention for older youth and early childhood resources.
