Our programs are built to develop the whole child and the whole young person, from Pre-K through young adulthood. Through structured learning, practical life skills, leadership development, and hands on experiences, participants build confidence, independence, and a growth mindset. Every program we offer is designed to help young people form meaningful connections and thrive in every area of life.
Our full day Pre-K classroom is a place where children are known, challenged, and prepared for kindergarten. Teachers use The InvestiGator Club learning system aligned to Maryland’s early learning standards, and every child works toward an individual learning goal through small group instruction and hands on exploration. Families stay connected through developmental screenings, progress conferences, and family engagement nights throughout the year. State funded Pre-K seats are available for eligible Baltimore City families.
Children have a safe, structured place to land at the end of the school day. Our after care program provides homework support, enrichment activities, a daily snack, and consistent attention from staff who know every child by name. Families can count on us through 6:00 PM at our Bowleys Lane youth center.
Our summer camp gives school age children ten weeks of discovery, movement, and fun. Campers enjoy daily meals, swimming, weekly field trips, and hands on enrichment in small groups led by trained staff. Families get a full day summer option they can rely on all season long.
Older youth spend the summer building leadership skills and exploring what comes next for them. Participants work alongside our program teams, take part in career exploration, and receive one on one coaching from adults invested in their success. The experience is designed to help young adults grow in confidence and readiness for work and life.
We prepare young people for careers they can build a life on. Participants earn credentials, develop professional skills, practice interviewing, and connect to real employment opportunities. Our early childhood education training track gives youth a direct pathway into a career working with children.
The Family Support Center serves Baltimore City families with children ages 0 to 5 at no cost. Families can take part in parenting workshops, play and learn groups, and developmental screenings, and our team helps connect each family to the resources they need. Every family in Baltimore City with a child under five is welcome.
Our Home Economics program equips young individuals with practical life skills such as cooking, sewing, and personal finance. These hands-on skills foster independence, confidence, and responsible decision-making, preparing participants to navigate everyday life successfully.
Our Entrepreneurship program goes beyond theory. Guided by The Academy Builders, students participate in hands-on workshops that cover the full entrepreneurial journey, from generating ideas and assessing feasibility to mastering marketing, management, risk evaluation, and customer service. This comprehensive approach equips young individuals to become confident and capable future business leaders.
Leadership skills are vital for success in any endeavor. Our program develops participants’ emotional intelligence, communication, and decision-making abilities, empowering them to inspire others, influence positively, and serve as confident, responsible role models.
To address Baltimore’s early childhood workforce shortage, we partner with Active Achievers, Inheritance Academy, The Academy Builders, and The Child Care Company (TCCC) to prepare youth for careers in childcare.
